1 जनवरी 1960 को तिखूनकोट,ग्राम पंचायत खाइकट्टा,डांगीखोला (मजखाली) जिला अल्मोड़ा में श्रीमती धर्मा देवी तथा श्री गोविंद सिंह के घर जन्मे चन्दन डांगी की प्राथमिक शिक्षा बैंसखेत तथा अपर स्कूल रिउनी से हुई। उन्होने मिडिल मजखाली से,हाईस्कूल और इंटर उच्च्तर माध्यमिक विद्यालय दौलाघट से उतीर्ण किया।इसके बाद वह जीवन संघर्ष में निकल गये।बाद में उन्होने दिल्ली विश्वविद्यालय से पत्राचार से बी.ए. किया।इसके बाद उन्होने पर्चेज मैनेजमेंट, एक्स्पोर्ट मैनेजमेंट तथा इंटरनेशनल मार्केटिंग प्रबन्धन की विशिष्ट डिग्रियाँ ली।1977 में मामूली नौकरी-सफाईवाले से क्लर्क तक-से शुरुआत कर और दस से अधिक जगह कार्य करने के बाद पिछ्ले दस साल से एक बहुराष्ट्रीय कॉर्पोरेशन में वरिष्ठ विपणन प्रबन्धक के पद पर कार्यरत हैं।सिर्फ मेहनत,लगन और मजबूत इरादों के दम पर आगे बढ़े डांगी अपने भीतर एक जीवंत पहाड़ को कायम रखने में कामयाब रहे हैं।उन्होने एक किताब भी लिखी है जिसका नाम है "उत्तराखंड की प्रतिभाऐं"। यह किताब उनकी उस लगन का परिणाम है जो उन्होने पहाड़ से जोड़ती है।जो उन्हें उपलब्ध ना था,वे उसे औरों को उपलब्ध करा रहे हैं।पहाड़ पुंतुरी’ के बाद ‘प्रतिभायें’ उनका दूसरा मौलिक प्रयोग है।
चंदन डांगी उत्तराखंड से जुड़ी कई वैब-साइट्स, ई-ग्रुप्स और फोरम में अपनी महत्वपूर्ण उपस्थिति दर्ज कराते रहे हैं।
Chandan Dangi was born on 1st January 1960 at Tikhoonkot,khaikatta,Dangikhola (Majkhali) to mother Dharma Devi and father Govind singh. He got his primary education from Bainskhet and Upper school , Riuni. He completed his middle from Majkhali and High-school,Intermediate from higher secondary school,Daulaghat.He started his life of struggle after that.Later he completed his graduation through correspondence course.He has also completed courses on Purchase Management,Export Management and International Marketing Management.
Starting his career as a mere clerk cum typist he has gone on to defy expectations and become marketing head at an MNC. He could achieve all this with his sheer grit, determination,hard work and continued faith in his abilities.He has kept a special place for Pahad, in his heart. He has written a book called “Uttarakhand Ki Pratibhayen”. This book also speaks of his love for his motherland “Pahad”. This book is another experiment of Mr. Dangi after successful “Pahad-Punturi”.
